Getting Started
Choice plays a key role in the Mandra Method. The MM approach is a combination of steps - some of them easy, some of them hard. You choose which steps you want to take and when you want to take them. That helps guarantee the plan fits your needs, your readiness and that you own the process (instead of the plan owning you.) IF you ever feel trapped or constrained by the plan, then it is time to step back and look again. A successful plan is one in which you want to take the next step, not have to.
In the following sections, we'll break down each step and describe it, discuss the relative difficulty and what it brings to the process as well as make suggestions on when it is best to include the step in your plan.
Along the way, we'll describe some of the pitfalls and traps others have encountered but in the end, each step is one step closer to successful weight management, so there is no "wrong" step, so long as you take some step. (And truly, that is usually the hardest part: the first step. Once you break free of that inertia, the additional steps get easier and easier.)
